Privacy Policy

Last updated October 29, 2026

This policy explains what information Made to Weave collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Made to Weave is the trading name of Simple 8 ("we", "us"). It covers our websites (madetoweave.com and wellkept.madetoweave.com), the WellKept app, the business dashboard, and the texts and emails we send.

Two kinds of information

Some information is ours to look after: what you give us when you visit our sites, apply for a beta, book a call with us, or hold an account on one of our products. For that information, we decide how it is used, and this policy applies in full.

Businesses also use our products to keep records about their own customers and staff, such as a cleaning company's client list or its crew schedule. We hold that information for the business and use it only to run the service for them. The business decides what it collects and why, and its own privacy policy applies. If you are a customer or employee of a business that uses WellKept, contact that business about your information; we will help them answer you.

What we collect

  • Contact and account details: name, email address, mobile number, business name and role.
  • Sign-in and security records: when you sign in, from which device and network address, and the one-time codes we send you.
  • What you send us through a form, such as a beta application or a request to book a call.
  • For crew members using the WellKept app: your schedule, clock-in and clock-out times, notes and the photos you take on a visit. If the business you work for turns it on, the app also records your location when you clock in, clock out or tap "On my way", and keeps it for 30 days unless the business sets a shorter or longer period. The app does not track your location at any other time.
  • For the records a business keeps: its customers' names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, visit notes, and invoices and payments. Card and bank details are entered with our payment processor; we keep only the last four digits and the processor's reference.
  • Basic technical information our hosting provider records when a page loads, such as browser type and network address.

How we use it

  • To provide our products: show schedules, send sign-in codes, invoices, receipts and reminders, and keep records for the business you work with.
  • To keep accounts secure and stop abuse.
  • To answer you when you write to us, and to tell you about changes to a product you use.
  • To fix problems and improve our products.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the records a business keeps about its customers or staff for our own marketing.

Text messages

We send text messages only to people who asked for them or agreed to receive them: for example, a crew member who requests a sign-in code in the WellKept app, or a business's customer who agreed to get visit reminders from that business. How often you hear from us depends on what you signed up for. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that number, and START to receive them again. Reply HELP for help.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile number, and your agreement to receive text messages, are never shared with anyone except the service providers who deliver our messages for us.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run parts of our products for us, under contracts that limit them to that work:

  • Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database).
  • Resend (email) and Sent.dm and Twilio (text messages).
  • Google (video links for calls you book with us).
  • BoldSign (electronic signatures on estimates).
  • Our payment processor, when a business takes payments through us.
  • Mapping services that turn an address into a location and work out travel times: the US Census Geocoder, OpenStreetMap's Nominatim and OpenRouteService.
  • QuickBooks, only if a business connects its own QuickBooks account.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of selling or reorganizing our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

How long we keep it

We keep account information while the account is open. A business's records are kept for as long as the business uses our products. When a business leaves, it can ask us for a copy of its records and to delete them, except where the law requires us to keep them longer, such as payment records. Crew location records are kept for the period described above.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by writing to tech@madetoweave.com. For records a business keeps about you, write to that business, or to us and we will pass it on. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, and stop our newsletters with the unsubscribe link in each one. Messages you need in order to use an account, such as sign-in codes, are sent only when you ask for them.

Security

We protect information with encrypted connections, access limited to the people who need it, and passwords that are never stored in readable form. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

Our products are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
